8100 Flowbuster

A full flow diverter designed to provide a stable platform in which to measure the flow from a high energy water discharge stream, typically from fire pumps, hydrants, or standpipes.

Standard Features:

• Lightweight (8 lbs) self-anchoring rugged steel construction FM approved (466-1374 GPM) flow diverter with 2 1/2” female NST swivel inlet.
• Strainer grates trap rocks and large debris.
• Easy to store and carry grass-friendly compact design with handle.
• Stackable to five units high with stacking connector accessories.

Optional:

8100FB1125 FM Approved 1 1/8” Flow Nozzle Insert fits between the 2 1/2” supply hose and the Flowbuster’s female swivel fitting and restricts the waterway to provide accurate flow readings at lower flows (110-302 GPM).
8100FB175 FM Approved 1 3/4” Flow Nozzle Insert fits between the 2 1/2” supply hose and the Flowbuster’s female swivel fitting and restricts the waterway to provide accurate flow readings at lower flows (263-776 GPM).

8100STFM-W FM Approved SuperTap Flow Meter provides pitotless remote reading capability for testing directly at the header or at the Flowbuster inlet. Aluminum corrosion free construction and “Convex Venturi” design allows a high rate of unrestricted flow. Includes 25’ “push-to-connect” tubing with (2) connectors, and a pressure gauge. The SuperTap can be used with the 1 3/4” and 1 1/8” nozzle inserts for testing at lower flows.
8100FS Flow Suppressor eliminates water spray from the Flowbuster or other similar flow diverters. Ideal for lower liability testing in locations where water spray could cause damage or where containment of a high energy water stream is desired. The self-anchoring Flow Suppressor collects system debris while allowing water to discharge calmly through porous fabric, and does not affect the Flowbuster’s FM Approval.
8100MFC Master Flow Case allows remote reading of up to six SuperTap flow meters. Includes (1) 0-30 psi gauge and (1) 0-60 psi gauge with isolation valves, installed in a durable case.
8100MPC Master Pressure Case measures suction and discharge pressures during fire pump testing using two highly accurate certified gauges, (1) 0-300 psi gauge and (1) 30-0-30 psi gauges. The gauges are protected in a durable case and connect to the pump using 6 feet of tubing with 1/4” npt ends through “push-to-connect” connectors.
8100SC Stacking Connector allows the Flowbuster to stack three units together to allow ease of transporting, storage, and use. The Stacking Connector has two stabilizers that swing out and lock into position to prevent tip-over. Use 8100SA1 to expand the stacking height up to four or five units.
8100SA1 Stacking Adder increases the stacking height of the Stacking Connector by one Flowbuster.
8100HS3 Hose spacer for three hoses prevents hose kinks to ensure straight flow to the Flowbuster.
8100HS4 Hose spacer for four hoses prevents hose kinks to ensure straight flow to the Flowbuster.
8100HS5 Hose spacer for five hoses prevents hose kinks to ensure straight flow to the Flowbuster.
