2100 Series NYC Storage Cabinets
Designed to meet standpipe system requirements to store equipment for use by the FDNY as
specified in Section 905.3.1 of the 2014 New York City Building Code.
Standard Features:
• 20 Gauge cold rolled steel tub, door and trim with white powder-coat finish.
• Continuous hinged solid door with FDNY lock, zinc plated pull handle, and black vertical die cut
lettering “FIRE DEPT USE ONLY”.
• All recessed cabinets are two-piece construction with adjustable screws for attachment of door and
frame to tub. Surface mounted cabinets are a one-piece construction and have square edges.
Optional Features:
• Clear anodized aluminum (AL) or #4 stainless steel (SS) door and trim. Surface mount aluminum
cabinets have square edges. Stainless steel models have rolled edge with galvanized back wall.
Tub of steel and aluminum surface mounted models are same material as trim.
• Fire-rated tub on recessed models. Fire-rated tubs are insulated with FirespanTM 90 by
Thermafiber ®, a UL-LISTED, inorganic, mineral wool fiber insulation with a high recycled content.
Tested to maintain one and two-hour fire rated wall barriers, in accordance with ANSI/UL-1479
(ASTM E814 and ULC.CAN S115) for membrane penetration firestops.
• Detention Grade Steel Construction (FF).
• Alternate door styles and trim types available.
